BP03 – General Accounting / R2R Senior Specialist

Job Title: General Accounting / R2R Senior Specialist Role Level: BP03 (Senior Specialist) 

Experience: 4–6 Years

Role Summary The General Accounting / R2R Senior Specialist is responsible for general accounting, journal processing, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, and period-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution while supporting exception management, reporting, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustment entries
  • Perform balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Support intercompany accounting, matching, and settlement activities
  • Support fixed asset accounting including additions, retirements, and depreciation
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling and open items
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and audit trails
  • Review journals, reconciliations, and close deliverables prepared by the team
  • Perform root-cause analysis on recurring accounting exceptions
  • Support flux/variance analysis and management reporting inputs
  • Coordinate with AP, AR, Tax, and FP&A on cross-functional close dependencies
  • Provide functional guidance and support to junior team members
  • Support governance, compliance, and audit requirements

Experience & Skills

  • 4–6 years of experience in General Accounting / R2R or Finance Shared Services
  • Understanding of general accounting, journals, and reconciliations
  • Knowledge of month-end close and accounting standards (US GAAP/IFRS awareness)
  • Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or similar
  • Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in high-volume, SLA-driven environments
