Union Bank of India has fixed the 2nd phase online examination of its Recruitment Project 2026-27 for 10 October 2026 (Saturday). The Bank calls this date tentative. The notice, dated 28 September 2026, covers 32 codes in Scale II and Scale III, and the call letter download link will be hosted on the Bank’s website in due course — no release date has been announced. Category-wise, the 395 posts split into SC 57, ST 27, OBC 105, EWS 36 and UR 170, and the number of vacancies is provisional.
Eligibility is set post code by post code.
All qualifications must be from full-time regular courses, and no equivalent educational qualification shall be considered for eligibility.
Every post needs post-qualification experience, which ranges up to 15 years for the most senior Law Officer post. Experience in clerical cadre shall not be considered, and only full-time experience after the minimum qualification counts. Appointment letters, salary certificates or pay slips will not be accepted in place of the prescribed experience certificate, and candidature can be cancelled at any stage, even after appointment, if they are relied on.
Age is calculated as on 1 July 2026 and depends on the post code. The usual limits are below; many IT codes allow 35 years in Scale II and 38 years in Scale III.

OBC candidates in the creamy layer, or whose caste is not in the Central List, are not entitled to OBC reservation and must apply as Unreserved. There is no reservation for Ex-Servicemen in the officers’ cadre.

Special Allowance, Dearness Allowance and other allowances are paid on top, and officers also get residential quarters or lease rent, LFC and medical reimbursement as per Bank policy.
For posts up to Scale III, selection may comprise an Online Examination, Group Discussion (if required) and/or Personal Interview. For Scale IV, V and VI, it may comprise Group Discussion (if required) and/or any other test/assessment and/or Personal Interview. The Personal Interview carries 100 marks, with qualifying marks of 50 for General and EWS and 45 for reserved categories. Candidates are called in a 1:3 ratio to vacancies, which the Bank may modify. Candidates not securing the qualifying marks in the interview will be disqualified. Multiple appearances by a candidate for a single post in interview will be summarily rejected.
