The Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) — Paper I is conducted by the Human Resource Development Department, Government of Sikkim, to assess eligibility for primary teacher recruitment in Classes 1 to 5. This Preliminary stage exam evaluates your pedagogy understanding, language proficiency (Nepali and English), mathematics skills, and core awareness of Environmental Studies. What This Practice Test Covers

• Child Development & Pedagogy: learning processes, child psychology basics, inclusive education, and classroom strategies.
• Language I (Nepali): grammar, comprehension, vocabulary, and language usage for primary-level teaching.
• Language II (English): reading comprehension, grammar accuracy, sentence correction, and teaching-oriented language concepts.
• Mathematics & Environmental Studies: primary math foundations plus EVS concepts linked to environment, safety, and everyday science.

Preparation Tips

Start by completing section-wise practice for Child Development & Pedagogy and both Languages, as these build speed and accuracy for primary teaching questions. Use daily short tests (25–30 questions) to improve time management for the 120-minute duration. Focus on NCERT-aligned basics for Mathematics and EVS, and revise key EVS facts and definitions through quick recall notes. Since there is no negative marking, attempt all questions and review mistakes in a dedicated error notebook.
