The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has released Advt. No. 07/2026 for the Joint Direct Recruitment of Senior Computer Instructor and Basic Computer Instructor in the Secondary Education and Sanskrit Education departments of Rajasthan, announcing a massive 3,951 vacancies. This is one of the largest teaching-cadre recruitments of 2026 and a major opening for Computer Science / IT graduates aiming for a permanent Rajasthan state-government job in Rajasthan.
Online applications are accepted from 25 May 2026 to 23 June 2026 (11:59 PM) through the SSO Rajasthan portal. This is the first-time recruitment for Computer Instructor cadre under the new combined service rules. Selected candidates are placed in either the Secondary Education Department or the Sanskrit Education Department based on merit and choice.
The 3,951 posts are split between two departments and two levels.

Reservation follows Rajasthan state policy — SC 16%, ST 12%, OBC (Non-CL) 21%, MBC 5%, EWS 10% in Non-TSP; ST 45%, SC 5%, Unreserved 50% in TSP. Horizontal reservations: Women 30% (incl. 8% widows, 2% divorcees), Ex-Servicemen 12.5%, PwBD 4%, Outstanding Sports Persons 2%.

In addition, working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture is mandatory for both posts. Aspirants with computer and IT qualifications form the primary target group; refer to our post graduate and graduate pages for similar openings.
Pay depends on the cadre — Senior or Basic — and follows the 7th CPC Rajasthan Pay Matrix.
Approximate in-hand for Basic CI after probation: Rs 50,000 – Rs 60,000 per month. Senior CI in-hand crosses Rs 75,000+ after first increment plus DA/HRA additions.
RSSB conducts a two-paper objective examination followed by document verification and medical examination.

Candidates who have already paid the One Time Registration (OTR) fee earlier do not need to pay again. Candidates from outside Rajasthan are treated as General category. Application correction fee is Rs 500 if any change is required after submission.
3,951 vacancies is a once-in-a-decade opening for Computer Instructor cadres in Rajasthan — Senior CI alone has 322 posts on Pay Level 10, and the Basic CI strength of 3,629 makes the cut-off realistic for candidates who prepare seriously through May, June, July.
