The Nainital Bank has released the call letters for the online examination for Specialist Officer posts in Grade / Scale I, II and III. If you applied between 15 August and 07 September 2026, you can download your call letter from 22 September 2026 to 04 October 2026 by logging in with your Registration No / Roll No and Password or Date of Birth (DD-MM-YY). The exam date, reporting time and venue are printed on the call letter itself — the bank has not announced the date separately, so check your call letter as soon as you download it.
On exam day, carry the call letter with a recent passport-size photograph pasted on it, a photocopy of your photo ID stapled to it, the same ID in original, and your Aadhaar card for biometric authentication. If the name on your call letter does not match the name on your photo ID, you will not be allowed to appear, and latecomers will not be allowed. A ration card or learner’s driving licence is not accepted as ID. If you changed your name, carry the original gazette notification, marriage certificate or affidavit. A call letter showing an unclear or blurred photo or signature means you will not be allowed to appear, and your candidature will be cancelled. If more than one call letter was generated, appear only once for one post — appearing more than once cancels your candidature.
The call letter and the exam information handout are both on the login page below.

There is one condition you must know before applying. On selection, you will have to execute an Indemnity Bond of ₹3.00 lakhs with two sureties for a bond period of 2 years. If you resign or leave the bank before completing those two years, you will have to indemnify the bank for the bond amount and related costs.

The online test carries 200 marks for 200 questions in a total of 145 minutes. The paper is available in English only and each question has 5 answer options.

Candidates preparing for the professional knowledge section should follow a focused exam syllabus and preparation plan for their own stream.
Candidates who clear the online written test will be called for an interview conducted by the bank. Final appointment letters are issued on the basis of the online test and interview together, subject to the candidate being medically fit.
Examination centres are at Haldwani, Dehradun, Lucknow and Delhi/NCR. You must choose three centres of your preference, and no request for change of centre, venue, date or session will be entertained. You will need a valid photo ID at both the exam hall and the interview.
Applications were accepted online only between 15 August 2026 and 07 September 2026, and that window has closed. The steps candidates followed are kept here for reference.
Two rules worth remembering: the handwritten declaration must be in your own handwriting, in English only, and not in capital letters, and if you submit multiple applications, only the latest completed one is kept while fees paid for the others are forfeited.
