Experience

Work experience in government rural development schemes at an equal or higher pay scale carries additional marks in selection (5 marks for 1 to 2 years, 10 marks for 2 to 5 years, and 15 marks for more than 5 years). Experience elsewhere will not be counted.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality & Domicile: The applicant must be a local resident of Chhattisgarh State. A valid domicile certificate issued by a competent authority in the prescribed format is mandatory. Educational Qualification: Must have passed a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) with at least 55% marks. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories require a minimum of 50% marks. For candidates belonging to the Bastar and Sarguja divisions, passing in second class is required. Required educational qualifications must be completed on or before the date of application submission. Employment Registration: The applicant must possess an active and live registration certificate from an Employment Exchange (Rojgar Karyalaya jivit panjiyan) in Chhattisgarh. Age Limit: The candidate must be between 18 and 35 years of age as on 01 September 2026. Age relaxations apply as per circulars issued from time to time by the Chhattisgarh General Administration Department. Ineligibility / Disqualifications: Candidates having more than two living children, with one born on or after 26 January 2001, are not eligible for appointment. Disqualifications under Rule 1961 of the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (General Conditions of Service) will also apply. Furthermore, personnel previously dismissed or whose contract extensions were discontinued by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department due to irregularities are not eligible to apply.

How to Apply

Access the designated online registration portal at zpkanker.indicompute.com or through www.kanker.gov.in. Fill in personal details, residential address, category, and active Chhattisgarh employment registration number. Candidates will be solely responsible for any incorrect entry, and no correction will be permitted once submitted. Enter academic qualifications including Higher Secondary and B.Com details, along with marks obtained. Upload self-attested copies of essential certificates including the Chhattisgarh local resident certificate, permanent caste certificate, live employment exchange card, mark sheets, and medical board certificate (for PwD candidates). Attach the appointment order, experience certificate, and current employer NOC if claiming marks for experience in government rural development schemes. Submit the online application before the closing time of 12:00 midnight on 01 November 2026. Late applications will not be accepted.

Important Instructions

The appointment is purely temporary and on a contract basis under the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Contract Appointment) Rules, 2012 for an initial duration of 1 year. Leave entitlement will be governed by the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Contract Appointment) Rules, 2012. The contract may be extended for an additional period of 1 year based on work requirements, efficiency, conduct, government directions, and mutual agreement between both parties. Selected candidates are required to execute an agreement contract on a Rs 50 stamp paper with the employer. Candidates must hold an active employment exchange registration certificate from Chhattisgarh; applications without an attested copy of a valid live certificate will be rejected. Eligible candidates will be called for document verification in a 1:5 ratio; absent candidates or those appearing with incomplete documents will not be granted a second opportunity under any circumstances. No travelling allowance (TA) or any other allowance will be paid for attending document verification or examinations; candidates must attend at their own expense and arrangements. Candidates currently serving in government offices must present a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer. All updates, claims and objections lists, call letters, merit lists, and final select lists will be published exclusively on the district portal (www.kanker.gov.in). The number of advertised positions may be increased or decreased based on the creation of contingency funds under the VB-G RAM G mission. Resolution of any objections in the recruitment process will be made by the Collector & District Programme Coordinator VB-G RAM G, and that decision shall be final and binding. The selection process consists of a Merit List, Document Verification, and a Computer Practical Exam based on a 100-mark evaluation system. There is no personal interview. Based on applications received, a preliminary eligible/ineligible list for claims and objections will be published on the district panchayat notice board and on www.kanker.gov.in. Only one opportunity will be provided to rectify any clerical error during the claims and objections stage; no claim/objection will be entertained after the due date. Thereafter, eligible candidates will be invited for document verification in a 1:5 ratio. Candidates who successfully clear document verification will be shortlisted on merit for the 15-mark Computer Practical Exam. Candidates must carry an original photo identity card (Aadhaar Card or PAN Card) for identification. The final selection will be subject to the writ petition pending before the High Court of Chhattisgarh at Bilaspur regarding reservation.
