If you wrote the Phase-I Online Test (STAR) on 22–23 September 2026, the provisional answer key, the question paper and your own response sheet are now in your candidate login. Para 29 of the notification says they stay available for three days during the “Objection Management” period after the exam. The notification does not print the exact dates, so log in today and match every answer. Once the Objection Management period ends, no query about the answer key or response sheet will be entertained through any means, no RTI will be entertained for information already shown on the website or in your login, and no query about STAR will be entertained after six months from the exam date.
What comes next: your marks will be normalised, you must qualify each paper individually, and the Phase-II cut-off is applied state-wise. The Phase-I result and the state-wise Phase-II shortlist will be uploaded in your candidate login, and shortlisted candidates get a new admit card on their registered e-mail. Vacancies are allocated state-wise and the final intake is decided as per the service requirement, with female candidate intake decided separately. Shortlisting for Phase-II and the Provisional Select List are both prepared state-wise, so the cut-off can differ from one state to another.
There are two broad streams of eligibility. Check the one that matches your 10+2 subjects. The minimum marks rule is strict, so confirm your percentage carefully.

Students who completed their schooling and want a 12th-pass government job should read the subject rules in the notification carefully.

The Agniveervayu earn a customised monthly package that increases each year, plus a lump-sum Seva Nidhi at the end of four years. This is a major attraction of the Agnipath scheme.

| 1st Year | ₹30,000 |
| 2nd Year | ₹33,000 |
| 3rd Year | ₹36,500 |

In the first year, the in-hand amount is about ₹21,000 per month. On completing four years, an Agniveer receives a Seva Nidhi package of approximately ₹10.04 lakh (including the government’s matching contribution). A non-contributory life insurance cover of ₹48 lakh is also provided during the engagement.
The selection happens in three phases. Knowing each stage helps you prepare in the right way; you can also check general exam syllabus and pattern guidance.
Final selection is made through a state-wise Provisional Select List based on merit, subject to medical fitness and vacancy availability.
