The age is counted as on 4 November 2026, which is also the last date. The notice says age relaxation will apply as per the rules and guidelines of CSIR and the Government of India, but it does not list the years for each category. The detailed advertisement should give that break-up. Work out your exact age on the cut-off date before you begin.

The notice puts the emoluments at about ₹40,000 a month. This is an approximate figure given by NCL itself, not our estimate.
For a Level-1 post, this is a good start. It is a CSIR post on the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, at one of India’s premier research labs.
The short notice does not describe the selection process. It does not mention any written test, trade test or interview. Please ignore any website that claims a fixed exam pattern right now. The advertisement is dated 3 October and the form opens two days later. Check the recruitment portal on 5 October itself, because the notice sends candidates there for the advertisement details, terms and conditions and instructions. Do not leave the form for the last evening. The portal stops accepting applications at 5:00 PM on 4 November, not at midnight, and a slow connection on the final day can cost you the chance.
