The notification lists seven designations but only 6 posts. DGM (Finance & Accounts) and Manager (Finance & Accounts) share one single vacancy in the notification table, so only one finance candidate will be picked, at either the DGM or the Manager level.

Most posts suit engineering graduates, while the finance post is for CA and CMA professionals.
Experience is counted after the qualification, as on 23-09-2026. There are separate routes for government, Metro/PSU and private-sector applicants.

Private-sector employer size also matters. For JGM and DGM, you should have worked in a company with a project size of at least ₹500 Crore or annual turnover of at least ₹100 Crore in the last 3 years. For Manager and Assistant Manager, the limits are ₹200 Crore and ₹50 Crore. You must upload proof of this with the form.
Some posts also have a hard experience condition. JGM (PMIS) needs at least 7 years in ERP, SAP or other project management software. Manager (Design) needs at least 5 years in elevated / underground Metro Rail or large infrastructure projects. For Assistant Manager (Transport Planning), exposure to station accessibility plans, ridership data, feeder bus strategy and fare box revenue, and travel demand software like CUBE or VISSUM, is desirable, not compulsory. Even with every relaxation added together, your age cannot go above 58 years as on the notification date. The notification also says age will be relaxed for deserving and experienced candidates, but this is at CMRL’s discretion, so do not count on it.

Deputation candidates have a choice: keep their parent-organisation pay with deputation allowance and project allowance of 10% of Basic Pay each, or take the equivalent CMRL IDA pay scale with IDA, HRA and Cafeteria Allowance (31.5% of Basic Pay).
On top of the pay, CMRL gives Medical and Personal Accident Insurance, Life Insurance, mobile phone reimbursement with an official SIM, and other allowances under its HR policy. Contract staff may be moved to an IDA pay scale on contract basis after 2 satisfactory years. Government/PSU applicants coming through proper channel with at least 2 years in a regular pay scale may get IDA pay directly on selection. CMRL may also offer higher pay or a higher post based on your experience and interview.

The notification does not mention any written test. The first medical exam is paid by CMRL, but your travel is on you, and a second medical (if you ask for more joining time) is also at your cost. Keep an eye on upcoming exam and interview schedules so you do not miss a call.

Internal candidates may get two years’ residency relaxation for AM to Manager and one year for DGM to AGM. Depending on response, CMRL may also raise or relax the eligibility standards.
