BOI Specialist Officer Selection Process & Examination Pattern

  • Selection Process : Shortlisting based on uploaded eligibility documents
  • Online Written Test and/or Personal Interview
  • Document Verification & Medical Examination.
  • Online Examination Structure (Composite Time: 100 Minutes) :
    • English Language: 25 Questions (25 Marks) – Qualifying in nature (marks not added to merit list)
    • Professional Knowledge (Relevant to Post): 100 Questions (100 Marks) – Bilingual (English & Hindi)
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks : 35% in each test for General/EWS and 30% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates.
  • Negative Marking : 0.25 (1/4th) mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • Interview Weightage : 100 Marks (Qualifying: 50% for Gen/EWS, 45% for Reserved). The combined weightage ratio of Online Exam to Interview is 60:40.
  • Refundable Security Deposit : Rs. 1,00,000/- for JMGS-I, Rs. 2,00,000/- for MMGS-II, and Rs. 3,00,000/- for MMGS-III & above (refundable after 3 years of service).
