Good news for everyone called for the next round: AIIMS, New Delhi has released the NORCET-11 Stage II (Mains) admit card on its examination portal. Stage II is an online CBT on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, and your final merit is decided on this stage alone. The admit card is not sent by post, so download it yourself, and hand it to the invigilator after the test — otherwise your performance will not be considered. Do not carry a mobile phone or smart watch, even switched off. The notice printed no separate Stage II admit card date, and there is no new notice PDF for this update. The biggest nursing recruitment of the year is well underway, friends. AIIMS, New Delhi released Notice No. 103/2026 for NORCET-11, offering 2,218 Nursing Officer posts across 27 institutes and hospitals — including 18 AIIMS, ESIC, JIPMER Puducherry, Dr. RML Hospital, Safdarjung Hospital and CIP Ranchi. One exam covers all, but each institute sets its own eligibility.
The post carries Pay Level 7 (Group B) with Grade Pay ₹4,600. Registration ran from 24 July to 13 August 2026 (5:00 PM) and is now closed. Stage I was held on 12 September 2026, and Stage II is on 30 September 2026. Below you will find the vacancy list, exam pattern, key conditions and dates, all in one place on GovtJobsAlert.in.
NORCET is the common test that AIIMS institutes and several central hospitals use to recruit Nursing Officers. You write it once and later choose institutes based on your rank — a direct route into a central government medical and healthcare job.

You need to satisfy only one of the two routes below.
| Route | Requirement |

| Grade Pay | ₹4,600 |
| Classification | Group-B |
The usual allowances admissible to Central Government servants are paid on top. The notice does not print a rupee band for Level 7, so rely on the Pay Matrix at your allotted institute rather than figures circulating on social media.
Selection happens through a two-stage online computer based test.
| Detail | Stage I — Preliminary | Stage II — Main |
|---|---|---|
| Date | 12 September 2026 (held) | 30 September 2026 |
| Questions / Marks | 100 / 100 | 160 / 160 |
| Duration | 90 minutes | 180 minutes |
| Sections | 5 × 20 questions × 18 min | 4 × 40 questions × 45 min |
| Negative Marking | 1/3 mark | 1/3 mark |
| Qualifying (UR/EWS, OBC, SC/ST) | 50, 45, 40 percentile | 50%, 45%, 40% |
| PwBD Relaxation | 5 percentile | 5% |
| Role | Shortlisting only | Decides final merit |
Stage I has 20 General Knowledge and Aptitude questions and 80 Nursing questions. Five times the seats in each category are called to Stage II, plus all qualified PwBD candidates and tie cases; clearing the percentile alone does not guarantee a call. Stage II questions are case-scenario based. Each section locks once its time ends, so you cannot go back to it. After the result, qualified candidates fill institute choices, and failing to join an allotted seat cancels your candidature for this NORCET. Revise with our syllabus and exam pattern guides.

| PwBD seats | Only the identified disability categories are eligible for PwBD seats |
